Benoit Lépine

Chief executive officer

As CEO, Benoit is responsible for managing the company's overall operations.

Benoit joined the company as VP, Sales and Marketing over 8 years ago. In that role, he contributed his strategic planning, market development and customer support experience to DECIMAL's management team. In his current role, Benoit’s primary focus is the well-being of DECIMAL's employees and customers. During his 25 years plus in sales and operations management, he has held several management positions, including over ten years with a technology company.

Benoit is a firm believer in win-win approaches, in honouring commitments and in delivering outstanding professional services and solutions. In his role as CEO, he provides DECIMAL's current and future clients with professional support as they work towards improving their organizational performance.

Benoit Lépine has an MBA, which he obtained in 2002, and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. 

René Lebel

Vice President, Operations

René Lebel has over 30 years’ experience developing Corporate Performance Management software and consulting. He joined DECIMAL in 2014 as Vice President, Professional Services; from there, he went on to lead all of the company’s professional services teams.

In his current role as VP, Operations, René is responsible for all of the organization's operational aspects, including professional and technical services, customer support, and R&D.

He has an excellent grasp of all the technological and organizational issues involved in collecting, modeling, storing, analyzing and presenting management information. His extensive knowledge of the software market, current trends and the value of corporate data has enabled René to implement numerous solutions, particularly in the public sector, financial services and in various other fields and sectors.

He is well-known for his leadership, dedication to service, skills, achievements, and the long-term business relationships he has built.

Mélanie Bastarache

Vice President, Security and Cloud Services

Starting her career as an Oracle database administrator in 2001, Mélanie Bastarache has acquired extensive experience working with many of Quebec's leading organizations. With an academic background combining a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a second in computer science, she therefore possesses cutting-edge technical expertise in her field of expertise, which is how she joined DECIMAL in 2013. There, she continued her career as an Oracle database administrator for a few years, eventually developing the skills needed to take on the role of Director of Security and Technical Services.

Now Vice President, Security and Cloud Services, Mélanie is responsible for all aspects of operational security, including DECIMAL's hosting infrastructures. She is also responsible for managing DECIMAL's cloud offering, in terms of standards, security, service levels and application support for our software solution, to ensure its smooth operation and the complete satisfaction of DECIMAL's customers.

Hubert Lavigne-Chouinard, CPA

Vice President, Professional Services

A member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA) and a graduate of Université Laval in Quebec City, Hubert Lavigne-Chouinard joined DECIMAL in 2008 as a consultant. He has since developed his expertise in financial performance management, costing, financial process improvement and information technology, to the point where he is now a reference in corporate performance management in the province of Quebec. 

Hubert has acquired solid experience in a variety of sectors, including IT, government, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and entertainment. He has advised large and small organizations in the areas of cost management, budget processes and project management.

Subsequently appointed Senior Director and now Vice-President, Professional Services, Hubert leads major implementation projects for our solutions and is responsible for the Professional Services team, as well as being a strategic advisor to DECIMAL's clients.
