QUEBEC CITY CHOOSES DECIMAL!
Quebec City replaces its budgeting, costing and reporting tool with DECIMAL's Performance Management Solution.
Quebec City, Oct. 8, 2015 – DECIMAL, a leader in corporate performance management, announced today that Quebec City will implement the Decimal Suite.
Consistent with its vision and strategic plan, the City of Quebec wanted to acquire integrated, effective tools to enable a variety of stakeholders to improve service performance and modernize their financial systems. The City launched a call for tenders to find the best solution for its operating and capital budgets, as well as its costing and business intelligence needs.
The City's main objectives were:
- Optimized deployment and integrated information;
- Improved budget production timeframe;
- Greater participant autonomy;
- Improved management information;
- Increased use of cost accounting information.
DECIMAL won the bid, and the Decimal Suite will replace the City's in-house budgeting system and SAS software that had been performing the City's activity-based costing (ABC) functions since 2009. The City will henceforth be able to closely monitor its activity-based budgeting, simulate complex scenarios, perform sound costs analyses, and produce advanced financial dashboards and management reports.
